Jet Force Gemini was a slightly obscure title for the N64. I would definitely liken it to other sleeper hits such as Perfect Dark, as it didn't make the radars of many players as an obvious purchase, but was an incredibly well made, and fun game.

You play as one of two characters flying from planet to planet, trying to stop the invasion of an evil insectoid alien species. Looking mainly like ants, these horrible creatures are erradicating another local species called tribals. Tribals look very similar to Gizmo from Gremlins.

This game was designed with innovative features that were ahead of it's time. Tribals had to be rescued fromt he levels, but if you made an errant shot with your blaster, they would die and never respawn. Your actions had permanent consequences in the game. The same was true if one of the bug's weapons hit them. There were often several ways through each map, leading to unique parts of the game.

It's a game that really shines on a system where 3d game design was just begining to find it's footing and definitelys till worth a play today. If you missed it the first time around, you should look it up. And if you did already play it, did you like it? What was your favorite part of Jet Force Gemeni?
