What if Sonic was always a part of nintendo?

Hi guys I am asking here if sonic was actually a part of nintendo from the first place? Would he have sucked still?

No, I dont hate Sonic, but that doesn't make me blind to how bad his games were. Well, he got good games like generations, colors, and sonic 4, but his shine started to go down with sonic 4 episode 2, and sonic boom. In all of fairness, Sonic Lost World was actually a pretty good game.

But one thing that hasn't made sense to me is why are people saying he is too slow in Lost World? His speed is comparable to that of the adventure series, which are also very fun to play in my opinion. So what was so wrong about sonic lost world?
