Budget Vita Games

I have twenty dollars to spend on a psn account of a ps vita for my brother. He likes platformers, rpgs, platformers, some racing, platformers, and open world, but I doubt there will be a good open world for $20, other than minecraft. Should I just get minecraft, or do you think there are some different games?

I know this thread is a little older, but as far as Vita games go, Uncharted Golden Abyss was really good.
