3DS Click sound in new Nintendo 3DS XL, DS games

Hello today I got my new nintendo 3ds xl and when I get home I tried my pokemon pearl version. When I inserted the game I noticed that before the game was completely inserted it made a click, after I completely inserted it it worked awesome so my question is: is that click sound normal when you are inserting a ds game on a new 3ds xl?

Well mine does the same thing so I think that it is something that is supposed to happen. I think when it clicks that is to let you know that the game has been inserted correctly and that you are safe to turn the game on.

It is really only suppose to click when you get the game fully into the slot. Like in order to get it out you push down, click, and it will pop up a bit for you to pull out.
