Copying game question

Can I borrow a switch game from a friend, put it in my switch and copy it all to my 128gb mini storage card?
(If possible this would save us from having to buy the physical game)

I thought the same thing on xbox 360. Borrowed a friends disk, downloaded it to my console. It looked like it worked, but you had to have the disk to use as a license. With switch you can't even do that...

Nu, it doesn't happen like that. If its too expensive just wait for the game to go on sale or get it used: no shame in that.
