The SNES is a legendary system, primarily for it's Nintendo exclusives, platformers and JRPGs. Capcom also contributed much to the SNES library, Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is one of the first titles that come to mind. However, it didn't end there - they also released the seminal Final Fight franchise for the SNES.

I remember there was a bit of controversy regarding the first Final Fight when it was released on the SNES. Capcom removed some the two-layer co-op feature which made the original arcade game so compelling. They also went further and removed Guy from the roster of playable characters and the industrial area level. No doubt, this angered plenty of fans of the arcade original as they were getting a fairly gimped port.

The Sega CD on the hand received an almost arcade-perfect port. Apart from some muted on-screen colors, due to the limitations of the Sega hardware. Nevertheless, Sega CD owners have bragging rights to a superior port of this legendary beat 'em-up.

How do you feel about those cuts made to the SNES version of Final Fight?
