Happy 126th Birthday Nintendo!

126 years! That is a lot! If you guys don't know, Nintendo started out as a card game company back in 1889 and was started by Fusajiro Yamauchi. Who would have guessed that they would be the video game company with the most iconic characters EVER?!

That's what I like about Japanese businesses, many of them have been around for many years. Many are even over a century old which is very impressive. In my country, there's only one insurance company that has been around for over a century. Most other businesses seldom make it past the 5 year mark before shutting down.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Nintendo! Thanks for the great times.

Nintendo's history is well document and very interesting to read. They managed to stay relevant even 126 years later, and that's lasting power. I work for a company that's actually turning 100 next year and let me tell you, there aren't a lot of those around.
