How to get rare mythical pokemon on X/Y, OR/AS

As some of you might know, there is currently a promotion running by GameFreak and Nintendo for the 20th anniversary of Pokemon. You can get a new event mythical pokemon for every additional month until the end of the year! If you weren't aware of this before, then you missed your change to nab a Mew(February), and a Celebi(March), but you may be just in time to receive Jirachi, which is the event pokemon that you can recieve through the mystery gift for the month of April(all events last from 1st-24th of the month). Good reminder! I'm really happy they gave out Mew and Celebi, they are two of my favourites!
And yes, don't forget Jirachi this month!
