Is there any sort of "shelf life" for GameCube memory sticks or internal storage?

I know some of the older GameBoy games had issues with an internal battery and long term storage. Is there any similar issue with the GameCube? Will my data be safe for years on end?

GC mem cards don't have a battery, so they should be fine. I'd consider copying everything over once every five or ten years to avoid bitrot though.

My copy of super Mario world on SNES batt is 25 years old and still has those save files lol

The SNES's battery lasts about 25 years...

It really doesnt have any problems to be honest. But I do have a dragoncube card with all my save files just in case. (Why I have it is because it has 1000Plus blocks), Besides that I use the orignal gamecube memory cards.
