Midnight Resistance is an arcade game developed by the now defunct, Data East. Developed in 1989 and later ported onto a number of home platforms during 1990. This is a 2D side-scrolling run 'n gun game that has a passing resemblance to the Contra series. While it's a decent action title, it's strong point is it's amazing soundtrack. Upbeat and poppy that sounds like it should belong in an 80's OVA anime.
The arcade original OST sounds pretty good but a bit tinny. The Sega Genesis version sounds a bit fatter thanks to the stronger bass lines.
