Game Boy Newly modded GBP Broken for an Unkown Reason

I backlighted my gbp but I sliced the ribbon cable. I bought a new pocket and replaced the screen and kept the backlight. When I turned the gbp on with a game in it, it never loaded up and the Nintendo logo was slightly different with only a few pixels out of place. The game would not load up and I tried other games and it would still not work. Please help.

Also I forgot to add the old screen worked and the only thing wrong with it was a part of the screen would not display
