Older gen consoles and surge protection

So I was wondering if there was any console that you wouldn't recommend plunging into a surge protector. I do not leave my console plugged in if they are not in use. Reason being is because I have 2 kids and they like to touch things. I own an Atari jaguar, sega genesis, n64, ps1, ps2, Xbox(original), sega dreamcast, GameCube etc. Is there any conflict with any older console and a surge protector? I noticed the GameCube has a big power brick and I know that Xbox 360 and one doesn't play well with a surge protector in some cases.
