Wii U Star Fox Guard?

So apparently it was announced a few days ago that Nintendo's going to be releasing a side game, Star Fox Guard, alongside its upcoming Star Fox Zero. Sounds like it's going to be some sort of tower defence title, which is... an interesting choice?

What say you? Interested in Star Fox Guard? Or Star Fox Zero, for that matter? Zero looks good enough on its own that I'll get it with or without Guard.

Guard looks like a good time killer, I'm definitely going to have to try it out and see if it's any fun. I've never actually played a Starfox game before, a shame I know, but I'm looking forward to trying out this new one.

Yes, I highly anticipate this new one. I've been playing Star Fox since the original. Kinda hoping they go back to the basics of just flying a ship around, though - the more recent Star Fox games got bogged down in trying to 'innovate' by forcing ground missions into the game play, and they killed a lot of the fun.

I love Tower Defense games. I once bought an Amazon Fire TV with playing Sev Zero as one of the main reasons. Wasn't the brightest idea ever, but yeah.
