Switch Switch Online and Family Membership

Bought switch for little one. We don't want online family/friends gaming but want access to the expansion pack. If we buy online pack with expansion pack, can I buy 'individual' user pack and our household use this 'individual' pack or do I have to purchase the family pack although not connecting with anyone online please? Thanks in advance

The family membership is for sharing your Switch Online membership with other accounts.

If all people from your household are going to use the same account while using Switch Online or Expansion Pack features, then an individual membership is sufficient. If multiple people are going to use separate accounts and they all want to use Switch Online + Expansion Pack, then you need a family membership.
