Wii U Themed Wii U Remotes

What are your thoughts on themed Wii U remotes? I actually had no idea Nintendo released these until I got the EB Games email now. They're releasing a Bowser and Toad themed remote. Personally, I'd get them if I needed an extra remote, but I wouldn't replace my current, working remote with one that's themed. They do look good though, especially the Bowser one:

i love them, but truth be told, don't need anymore. 3 or 4 is plenty at this point. I really like that Toad one though. And uh, whats up with these WIRED themed pads? why can't i get a rechargeable pro controller with Toad or Samus? No wires no mo' please!

They are pretty cool looking, that's for sure.

The fact that they retail for $40 is also a bit of a deterrent. I love themed stuff and all, but if you already have a couple Wii remotes, I don't know if anyone is picking these up. They should let you trade one of your remotes for one of these.

I need to get a new Wii remote with a motion plus built in so sometime in the future I may pick one up along with a fight pad.
