What are some of your favorite video game upgrades, over the years. Perhaps Kid Icarus, whose modern take, with the 2012 release of 'Uprising', was a far different take, and major upgrade, over it's previous title on the NES, which released in 1987. 1986, if you count the Japanese release. Or perhaps Pac-Man, which was a 2D, 'one screen', arcade game, when originally released. And now, is a fully 3D, in a 3D world, with many, many more characters, it's soon to be released, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. That's a vast upgrade too, from it's original design.
What are your thoughts on this subject, and what are some of your favorite games that have gotten a major upgrade over the years. Perhaps even a genre change. Do you like the modern take on these games better, or do you prefer the original versions. What older game would you like to see get a modern upgrade. Perhaps something that's long over due, or perhaps something that has never had a sequel. What are your thoughts.

1. Grand Theft Auto
2. Tomb Raider
3. WWE
