Hi there.... I just bought Splatoon and am enjoying it quite a bit. More importantly, my six year old is enjoying it as well. The one issue we're running in to is this: How do I use new weapons that I get in the plaza? At level 4 I went in and bought a new weapon. Unfortunately, each time I go in to play an online game it always defaults to the very first weapon you get when you first start the game. I can't figure out how to wield the new weapon that I get in the shop. Any help would be most appreciated.

when you are in the Lobby (screen where you choose to play online), press the + to go the the change gear screen. Also, you should be able to access this screen on the touchpad from anywhere. Let me know if this helps!
