What is the Best way to promote your youtube channel

I have ton of videos on my Youtube channel What are the best way to promote my YouTube channel. I'm considering Advertising. But don't know where to start. Any help wil be great. Thanks In Advance.

I think the best way would be to catch the eye of a web journalist. Everything I hear is that most online things, from channels to apps, can go a very long time with barely a peep of recognition only to suddenly become the biggest thing ever just because someone mentioned it in a blog or article.

Only if people know it's there, and even then a turd can get even more subscribers just because it got noticed. Like Flappy Bird.
