Where I have been

For the past 5 or 6 weeks, I have been in a relationship with a woman. We would talk 12 hours a day, and we talked so much, I got tired of talking to people and hardly participated in forums. I felt the relationship turn emotionally abusive though. I mean, she would constantly remind me of my shortcomings and started telling me that I would be unable to find a woman other than her. I dumped her. It was a really hard thing to do, but I felt it was for the best. So here I am.

welcome back. i have been married for almost 17 years and it took me a while to realize, but the important thing is acceptance. She lets me be me, and i love her for her. Im really glad you assessed the poison of the situation and got out. Hate to sound cliche, but the right one is out there and don't settle for less.
