NES Why is it you do not have to push the cartridge down in a refurbished NES?

I was wondering if anyone knew why that was? I noticed with my original NES I cannot just insert the game cartridge and power on the system to play a game. I have to completely press down on the cartridge before getting any contact. However, when playing on the refurbished NES, I can just insert the game and power on to play. Does anyone know why that is? I was thinking it had something to do with the placement of the pins.

If you insert the NES cartridge into the NES console and turn it on without pushing down. you can bend the teeth of the 72 Pin connector outward faster. This way, it will put less force on the game cart itself. The top loader AKA NES 2/NES Top Loader fixed the problem. Which I'm still trying to get my hands on. But watch out for the Game Graphic Glitch Gremlin. He plays foul when he gets access to the NES.
