FFVIII for the Computer

I played them both on both PC and PS1, and I can safely say there was almost no difference - some cinematics may have ran a bit smoother or some gameplay textures might have been a bit tweaked, but all in all they were spot on translations of each other. And played the same way on either.

I liked FF8 on the PC though, since I was using the console for other games for friends, I'd always have my emulators up or the actual version loaded from disc in my PC and use it to entertain myself in load screens, when I was dead, etc. I never spent more time in Triple Triad in any other minigame other than 7's chocobos because I had no guide and I mated up to Black. That was a lot of trial and error. Or Grinding Blitzball in 10. Triple Triad with the damned catchy theme "Shuffle of Boogie" made me want to play cards all the time.
